The brake system in your vehicle is one of the most important things that you should keep maintained. Check The Fluid

Changing The Brake Pads
Your brakes are covered by brake pads. These are used to cushion the brakes, allowing the vehicle to come to a complete stop without squeals or squeaks. They counteract the force of the braking movement, allowing the brakes to stop while having a cushion to push against to make the stop put less impact on the condition of the brakes themselves.
If your brake pads wear out, your vehicle will be making squeaky sounds when you brake. They may also make a grinding sound. This happens when the brakes become so worn that they are exposing the metal bar that is embedded near the bottom of the pad. This is there to warn the driver that the brake pads need replacing. The Rotors
If you do not change your brake pads in a timely manner, you may have problems with the rotors on your vehicle.
